Description
I have attended a lot of prayer meetings in my life but many were hard to get into as the requests were a mile long, and they were often for people I didn’t know. In this book, Dennis Gundersen explains the purpose of a prayer meeting, how to effectively lead one, what the focus should be, and much more. If you are a pastor or church leader who conducts midweek prayer meetings, or if you would like to begin a prayer meeting in your church or your home, I heartily recommend this book. I even gleaned a few things to work on in my personal prayer time. ~Sony

This book really needs to have more than 5 stars as a rating. When Sony posted some quotes and read some pages from this book, I was a little shocked because it is something that has been needed for years in the personal lives of true believers along with being read and implemented in evangelical churches.
Dennis provides 30 short devotionals that can be used in church prayer meetings, but it is the little 6 chapters that cover the first half of the book which are worth the price of the book itself.
I purchased this and am reading through it with my wife. I realized how much this could be used by some of our church leadership and purchased a couple more as gifts. The two men are starting to read and these ideas are now being implemented which brings great joy and encouragement to my heart.
My recommendation is to purchase one for yourself and one for at least the pastors in your church. Prayer is vital and we need to learn to stoke the furnace of the church as Charles Spurgeon called the time of prayer.
